Volume of a Regular Object (the mathematical way)

Picture
The formula for volume of a regular object is
V = L x W x H (Volume = Length x Width x Height). It doesn't matter which side you call the length, with or height as long as you multiply them all together.

Volume of an Irregular Object (the scientific way)

Picture
There is no formula for volume of an irregular object. There is a prosses though. There are several prosesses for the size object that you are measuring. For a smaller object you can get a graduated cyllinder. You fill the graduated cyllinder to any point then put the object in and see how much higher the object rose. For larger objects you get an overflow can that can hold the object.  Fill it all the way up to the rim and let it drip, drip, drip untill it's done dripping; then you get a graduated cylinder and put it under the nosel, place the object in the overflow can and let it drip drip, drip. The amount of water in the graduated cylinder is the volume.
